Catalin is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional with over 15 years of experience serving family businesses, incorporated professionals, and U/HNW families. Previously, he worked as an AVP, Advanced Wealth Planning at Wellington-Altus Private Wealth, as a Senior Financial Consultant at IG Securities Inc. and Division Director at IG Wealth Management. Catalin's career in wealth management started after running a consulting business and attending business school at Queen's University. His interest in entrepreneurship translated into a genuine passion for helping family businesses with their holistic financial planning needs. Over the years, he has been a customary speaker at business owner seminars, focus groups and workshops, promoting a multidisciplinary approach to Wealth Management. Catalin advocates blending professional expertise with advanced financial technology to help clients make the best suitable decisions at the right moment. Catalin holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Queen’s University and obtained the CFP®, RRC® and CEPA™ designations. He is on track to obtain his CIM® and TEP designations. Outside of work, Catalin has developed a passion for studying languages and has been a promoter of financial literacy for high-school students. Throughout the year, he enjoys overseas trips in the company of his daughter.
