Born and raised in Vancouver, Allen graduated with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia. He immediately joined Vancouver’s burgeoning video game industry, and over the course of five years, cultivated a love of problem-solving.
As a financial planner with Freedom 55 Financial and Canada Life since 2009, he enthusiastically combines his joy of problem-solving and people-skills to reduce money stress and create meaningful financial changes in the lives of clients. He received his CFP® or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation on August 2013, and is proud to be one of the very best of financial planning professionals in Canada. As a modern financial planner, he uses software to help clients make reasoned decisions instead of emotional ones. He has also been a mentor and coach to advisors since 2014, with a focus on cashflow, retirement and tax planning, and estate optimization.
