Pro Bono Financial Planning

We’re here to help Canadians

We have paused our Pro Bono Services at this time. For Credit Counselling & Bankruptcy Support, please see the links towards the end of this page.

We believe everybody deserves access to the life-changing benefits of financial planning, regardless of their financial situation.

That’s why FPAC™ members volunteer their services — as qualified, certified financial planners — to support those in need.

No judgement. No shame. And no product sales.

  • Debt & Cash Flow – Make the best decisions on day-to-day money management, debt consolidation and repayment
  • Retiring on Low-Income – Make sure you’re getting the most out of your retirement savings

Credit Counselling & Bankruptcy Support

If credit is your main issue, a financial planner may not be the resource you need.

For issues regarding debt management as well as bankruptcy, we recommend speaking to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT).

Formerly known as Bankruptcy Trustees, LITs are licensed by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) to administer proposals and bankruptcies in Canada.

There is no cost to speak to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.

Here are a few companies & resources to help start your search for support from an LIT.
